National & Statewide Healthcare Resources
Covered California
Covered California is the place for Californians to buy insurance as set up by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Some people call this Obamacare. You can buy private brand-name health insurance through this exchange -- if your income is below a certain level, you may qualify for a discount, or you may be directed to apply for Medi-Cal.
Bay Area Healthcare Resources
Maria X Martinez Health Resource Center
Offers a broad range of low-barrier healthcare services for vulnerable adults in San Francisco, especially people experiencing homelessness. Patients can receive walk-in assessment and care for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. We also provide medications for addiction treatment (e.g., buprenorphine) and transitional primary care services. Limited dental and podiatry services are also offered onsite.
